Prison Ministry
Terry Stueck and High Plains Bible Mission (founded in 1997 in New Mexico) have carried out a long-term prison and recovery outreach grounded in more than 50 years of inner-city rescue work, church and military chaplaincy.
The ministry focuses on practical, Scripture-rooted teaching about forgiveness, freedom from anger, stress, hang-ups, and addiction. Through books such as Forgive Instantly & Live Free and related materials, it has reached 3,500 prisons and jails across the United States, with resources also distributed in 35 other countries.
High Plains Bible Mission supports chaplains, recovery groups, and inmates by providing bulk orders for ministries and arranging direct shipping of books through the Prison Book Project. The heart of the work is connecting people behind bars with the forgiving Savior, Jesus, and equipping them for lasting inner freedom and a transformed life.
The mission’s prison outreach is a natural extension of its recovery and rehab ministry, emphasizing “Books That Heal the Soul” for those in jails, prisons, and recovery settings.

God put it on my heart to thank you for your generous book donations to this facility, the Wilson County Jail in Floresville, Texas. Nearly every book that I read has your stamp on it. Your donations were desperately needed here and have made a difference. I say they’ve made a difference for two reasons. One, I most often am looking for a Christian non-fiction, self-help type of book and sometimes they can be hard to find, but that’s because they’re in the hands of other people here. Number two, it has made a life-changing difference in my life. The small differences in the way I think and see the world and situations that I’ve learned from each one has added up to make me a different and better person. One book, this week, changed my life and I’m so thankful to you for it. It was “Forgive Instantly and Live Free” by Terry Stueck. After reading it and doing the exercises in it, I’m finally free from the “root of bitterness,” as he calls it, as a result of things in my past and for the first time in my adult life, I feel 100% free. I’ve learned how to apply the forgiveness Jesus taught and will share it with anyone who will listen. Thank you again for your generosity and your hard work.
Sincerely,
AT, Texas

I am writing to thank you for sending the book Forgive Instantly & Live Free by Terry Stueck to the Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla. I read the book after finding it on a cell-block book cart. It changed my life. I learned to forgive, not only my past mistakes, but to live at peace every day forgiving instantly and not holding grudges. My life so change, I was able to win an early release. I have come home to my home state of Louisiana and have a steady job rebuilding my life. The message of the book was the key to turning my life around. Thank you for writing and sending it when I so desperately needed it.
Sincerely,
CB, Louisiana

I am writing and seeking more books on forgiveness. I recently read “Forgive Instantly and Live Free” by Terry Stueck.
True Story: I found the book on a cabinet and looked at it, put it back. 2 weeks later I pick it up again, placed it under my bed mat. A month later I put it back on the cabinet. 3 weeks later that book was still there so I picked it up again. “But” this time I read it. Now after reading the book for the third time, I will not put it back. In fact I use it to better myself and others. This book has got to be one of the best books I have read, and will read over and over. “I now know God had this book laying there for me.” I do forgive Instantly and I am in the bleachers, cheering my champions, and he can be others too.
Oh yes I use “Forgive Everybody for Everything Instantly.” In fact, I’ve made up bookmarks with those 5 words, and gave them away.
Thanks for your book.
Allow God to Lead.
